Fake Tweet Generator

Make a fake tweet or social post meme in your browser: avatar, name, handle, post text and an optional image. Free, no sign-up, nothing uploaded.

Runs on this deviceFree · no watermarkNo sign-up

Quick answer

FreeImageKit's fake tweet generator builds a social post card in your browser: a round avatar, a display name, an @handle and your post text, with an optional image underneath. Type the name, handle and text in the Post panel, add your own avatar and picture if you want them, and export a PNG, JPG or WebP. Nothing is uploaded, and the card carries no platform logo or verification badge, so it reads as a meme rather than a copy of a real post.

How to make it

  1. Select Start with Fake tweet / social post, then type the display name, handle and post text in the Post panel on the right.
  2. Select Add image under Avatar or Post image to use your own pictures (both are optional).
  3. Select Export meme, then download, share or copy the card.

Caption ideas

  • Me: I'll sleep early tonight. Also me at 3 a.m.: one more episode.
  • Just finished a project without a single bug. Anyway, here's what broke.
  • Unpopular opinion: pineapple is fine on pizza.
  • My plants after I watered them once this month: thriving.

Good to know

  • The card is 1200 px wide, with a round avatar one tenth of that width beside the name and handle.
  • A post image fills the card's width and is shaped between 2:1 landscape and 4:5 portrait; drag it to choose what shows.
  • Long names and handles shrink to stay on one line next to the avatar; the post text wraps as you type.
  • Change the card colour and text colour for a dark-mode look, or the font and text size.

Private by default

Your photos and text are drawn into the meme in your browser and never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make it look like a dark-mode post?

Yes. In the Post panel, set the card colour to a dark grey or black and the text colour to white. The handle is drawn in a dimmed version of the text colour.

Is it OK to make a fake tweet of a real person?

Use it for jokes, parody and commentary that are clearly memes. Don't use a real person's name or photo to mislead people into thinking they posted something.

Do I need an avatar or a picture?

No. Without an avatar the card shows a plain grey profile icon, and without a post image the card ends after the text.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The meme is drawn and exported in your browser, so your photos and text never leave your device. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
