Privacy first

Your files stay on your device.

FreeImageKit’s image tools process files in browser memory using browser APIs, WebAssembly codecs and background workers.

What we do not do

  • We do not provide an image-upload API for these local tools.
  • We do not send image pixels, file names, metadata or text content to our application server for processing.
  • We do not add watermarks or modify your original file.

How it works

When you choose a file, your browser reads it locally, decodes it in an adaptive worker pool, applies the selected transformation, and makes a new download available. Closing or refreshing the page clears in-memory files.

Local work

Codecs, GIF encoding and optional ONNX models run on this device. AI model files are fetched only from the site’s same-origin static assets and are cached locally after download.

Review gates

Face and plate privacy tools show editable regions and require your confirmation before export. General-object segmentation and AI upscaling disclose model availability and limitations.

Analytics and consent

Analytics is disabled by default. If you grant consent to an approved provider, FreeImageKit emits only allowlisted aggregate events such as the tool slug, operation, format, batch count and success state. The event boundary rejects filenames, paths, dimensions, byte counts, image or text content, EXIF, Base64 values, hashes and URLs. Revoking consent stops future events.
